Spring 2016 Principal READY Launches in March
Principals speak about 2015 Fall Principal Ready, and Educator Effectiveness listens. Spring 2016 PReady sessions will start in March and extend through April all across the state. Feedback from fall sessions requested more session choices, more time to discuss information with colleagues from across the region, and more actionable resources to take back to schools. Dr. Tom Tomberlin and his team will be back to discuss 2014-2015 educator effectiveness data results and State Board of Education
student growth updates for the
2016-2017 school year. Please go to the Educator Effectiveness
to claim your seat today.
Observation Calibration Training (OCT) –It Works!
DPI is providing school administrators with an online platform to improve their skills as a classroom observer using the NCEES rubric. Participants will be able to watch classroom videos, observe instruction, rate teachers, and receive immediate feedback as to the recommended ratings.
School administrators have the option of participating as an individual or as a LEA/Charter team.
In the 2014-2015 pilot, the more
school administrators completed, the more their scoring improved. For an update on this exciting professional opportunity for school administrators, please visit the
